LITERACY 1

 HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
Let’s do Literacy. It’s a new year and I have a lot of fun and interesting activities, games and learning ideas for the children. I look forward to a sharing with you and your kids as the year progresses. Without any further ado let’s begin with a Literacy class;
RETELLING PAST EVENTS
This will help the young chap to
1.    Obviously learn to talk about events/happenings in the past.
2.   Learn the proper use of tenses.
3.   Relay past, present and future events in order of occurrences.
4.   Develop their imaginative skills.
5.   Improve their ability to recall and write/draw as appropriate.
As a guide, you could begin by encouraging them to begin by talking about their ‘Favourite’, as it’s easier to remember something you enjoyed participating in.

EXERCISE
So, let’s get New Year started by talking about all the fun things you did together as a family. Check if they can remember and prompt them to document it down in their own way, either by drawing, painting, colouring or writing.
Feedbacks on how the exercise goes will be appreciated.
